In the Wee Small Hours

In 1955, at a turning point in his career, Frank Sinatra recorded one of the first "concept" LP records featuring this title song. Most of the songs on the album are "lost love" songs, allegedly because Sinatra's relationship with Ava Gardner was failing, and he considered this song one of the saddest songs ever written. The song was written by David Mann and Bob Hilliard, and debuted on this album.
